EICRs and fuseboards for landlords and letting agents
across Dorset

We test the installation, code what we find in plain English, and email the report as a PDF. If the report turns up small remedials, the person who wrote it is the person who puts them right.

  • EICRs are what we do. Not a sideline between bigger jobs.
  • One contractor. Report and repairs from the same pair of hands.
  • Dorset only. Poole to Weymouth, Sherborne to Swanage.
  • No jargon. Every code explained in words you can forward to a tenant.

Give us the postcode, the property type and how many circuits, and you get a fixed price before anything is booked.

A specimen layout, not a real property. Yours arrives in the same shape.

New consumer unit with surge protection + EICR included: £675 flat

One visit, one price, anywhere in Dorset. We fit a modern metal consumer unit with RCBO protection on every circuit and surge protection built in, then test the whole installation and issue the EICR certificate. The report normally costs from £160 on its own - here it is part of the one price.

The £675 is flat. It is the same figure whether you are a landlord, an agent, a home owner or mid-sale.

What we do

Three things, and nothing else. No rewires, no new installs, no solar.

Lead service

EICRs

A full inspection and test of the fixed wiring, from the incoming supply to the last socket. You get a signed report with a clear satisfactory or unsatisfactory outcome.

  • Every final circuit tested
  • Faults coded C1, C2, C3 or FI
  • PDF report emailed to you

From £160

Fuseboard changes

A modern consumer unit with RCD protection, which cuts the power in a fraction of a second if current starts running somewhere it should not. Often the fix an unsatisfactory report points to.

  • Old rewireable boards replaced
  • Circuits tested and labelled
  • Certificate issued for the work

From £625

Small remedials

The things an EICR turns up: a missing earth at a light fitting, a cracked accessory, a loose connection in a socket, bonding that never went in. Quoted separately, so you choose.

  • Priced against the report codes
  • You decide what gets done
  • Report updated once they are cleared

Quoted in writing after the report

How a booking works

Five steps from your first call to a report in your inbox.

1

Tell us the property

Postcode, house or flat, rough age, and how many circuits if you know. That is enough to price it.

2

Fixed price in writing

You get the price for the EICR before a date goes in the diary. It does not move afterwards.

3

Access sorted

We deal with the tenant or the agent direct if that is easier. The power goes off in stages while we test.

4

Test and report

Every final circuit inspected and tested. The PDF report follows, with each code written in plain English.

5

Remedials, if you want them

Anything coded C1, C2 or FI gets a separate written quote. Say yes and we come back and clear it.

Where we work

Dorset, and only Dorset. BH and DT postcodes, plus the SP corner around Shaftesbury and Gillingham. If you ring, you get someone who knows whether the property is a forty minute drive or a five minute one.
